..some archeopark goals, ideas, benefits:

  1. CTU posits that natural spaces will be more eagerly appreciated and preserved by those given opportunities to develop a good rapport with them, via frequent visits and healthy outdoor hobbies! -in particular, we are interested in the health of the Hoosier National Forest and in creating wildlife corridors connecting it to other natural areas and parks in the Midwest

  1. a child’s full-spectrum vigor(mind/body/spirit) improves when afforded intervals of unscripted reality -away from manmade conventions/abstractions

  2. a goal of outdoor play should be to elicit a flow-state(where action and awareness merge), as opposed to something overly intellectualized/quantitative

  3. being challenged by and attentive to the wild flora, fauna, changing of the seasons, celestial happenings, and natural history of an area can keep a child’s internal processes balanced

  4. our senses have been appropriated(extended/curtailed/etc.) by industrial, postindustrial, and now network society; mimicking how our ancestors may have used theirs will help re-appropriate ours

  5. sources say the Gen Z across all device screentime number is ~9hrs/day; the park can serve as an intentional framework for analog interactions, sometimes the medium becomes the message
